My New Collar and Leash Set

Mom won a new collar and leash for me at an online auction on facebook to help Piper last month.

Piper is a Starting Over Airedale Rescue Girlie.   Isn't she pretty☺

ABOUT PIPER
Piper needs eye surgery to spare her the discomfort she has endured for so long and to prevent her from going blind. She has a birth defect in her eye called a Dermoid. This is a condition caused by a tissue that grows in an abnormal location. Piper's is on her cornea. It is quite large with hair follicles growing out of it. The hair rubbing against her cornea has caused several scars on her retina. She also has a large cyst under the same eye as a result of the dermoid.

Piper is a young 4-year old who thinks she is still a pup. She lived chained up outside for most of her life until SOAR rescued her. She is living in a loving foster home that is soon to be her forever home. She is a delightful girl who loves to play and enjoys romping in the water. Piper is in good health except for her eye issues. She has suffered long enough and we want to help her.
All proceeds from this auction will go toward the expense of her eye surgery through the Diana Muldaur Fund. Piper asks that if there is any extra money raised that it stay in the Diana Muldaur Fund to help the next rescue Airedale who needs it.

The auction to help Piper raised $3,537.23!    YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

This was the auction listing~~
My collar and leash arrived - all the way from New Zealand last Saturday.    Isn't my collar so pretty☺   I just love it!
Miss Rebecca tucked a special ornie in the package.    It's Christmas in July, right!

I'm styling with my new collar AND leash☺
These online auctions are a win-win for everyone☺

Columbine Yarn Bowl

It's been months since mom has done any knitting.   She didn't know what to knit.  All she knew is that she wanted to knit something - anything.   A scarf can always be used.

Mom loves Etsy.  She checks out handmade things on there all the time.
She decided one day to look for yarn bowls.  She has seen lots of wooden ones and some of them are just gorgeous but she wonders how they stay put and not dump the yarn as you're pulling on it.  Wood isn't really all that heavy.    And she wondered how a pottery one would work - and one that has a squatty bottom that made lots of contact with the floor.

She found the perfect yarn bowl!  It looks black and tan but it's actually a very dark forest green and it has a beautiful Columbine flower on it.
The potter, Miss Chaucy, lives in Colorado so she knows Columbine flowers well.
And when mom knits, we are constantly reminded of our friends, KB and Shyla and R, who also live in Colorado and post lots of beautiful Columbine flowers on their blog☺

This is the back of the yarn bowl.   That slot really does work and this bowl does not tip over at all.   It's heavy and well made and so beautiful and mom absolutely loves it!
 You're being silly, mom~~
Miss Chaucy is also on facebook and as mom scrolled through her posts, she noticed that she does pumpkin pottery in the autumn.    I have a funny feeling this won't be the first and last time she she buys something from Miss Chaucy!

Caru Baked Bites

I chose Caru Baked Bites to review this month for Chewy.   I chose the soft and tasty Lamb flavor.  They are made with real lamb, blueberries and cranberries☺    There is no wheat, gluten, corn, soy or by-products added.  These are the real deal and best of all - they are made in the USA!

The package contains different size treats and if you want to break them up into small pieces for training (and who would want to) you can.   Mom always buries her nose in MY treat bags and she says these smell absolutely delicious and of course, I agree!
I love playing with my interactive toys and these lamb bites are the perfect size!
It's empty, mom.  I found them all.   Time to load in more treats!
Caru Baked Bites are made in small batches in the USA from a family owned company.   They come in many other flavors, even alligator!
I give them 4 paws up!  That are THAT good!   You gotta check these out!  They're superyummy and you won't be disappointed!

Thank you so much Miss Natalie and Chewy for letting me taste these delicious and healthy treats!

National Ice Cream Day

You know there is no way I would ever let this day go by without celebrating!   Ice cream is my favorite!

This is the easiest recipe ever!    It's yogurt mixed with peanut butter.   Mom added blueberries because that's what she had in the frig.  She slipped it into a Ziplock bag and into the freezer it went.

It's all frosty and frozen and ready to enjoy☺
It's REALLY frozen.  This is hard work for my tongue!
Do I mind?   Not a bit!
This is not a mean face.   Mom gives me the command "wrinkle" and I know to smile.    It makes her laugh and laugh.
Whatever it takes to keep them happy and amused, right!
Does this mean I get a second dish of ice cream, mom?
Happy National Ice Cream Day!

Flower Friday

I am joining Jakey and Arty for Flower Friday again this week~

Guess what?    Mom and I saw a beaver on our walk!

We haven't been on our Legion Field route in awhile.    Mom gets weirded out about crossing superbusy Whitney Avenue.
 The Veronica is in bloom~
And so is this Yucca.   What a tall plant!
And we found beautiful soft pink roses☺
And cheerful Black-eyed Susan's.   And check out the "lawn" behind the flowers.   The peeps who live here have very little grass to cut.   It's all lush Pachysandra~
And we found Russian Sage growing alongside a mailbox not far from my house.
How about this gorgeous Clematis!
Happy Friday, everybuddy☺

He Was Here Again

Yes, he visited again.   Dad dropped him off on Saturday evening.

And I was NOT happy!   I was ready to leave!  Mom let me stay down here for about 10 minutes and then she made me come upstairs where it was cooler and she gated the stairs so I couldn't go back down.
So I hung out in the bathtub  where it was safe.   I spent lots of time in the tub during those nasty fireworks and some peeps still don't know that the Fourth is long gone!  Enough already!
 It's my newest favorite spot☺
Life was better the next morning with Mackie for walkies~
And once mom and I patrolled the yard for woodchucks and found none, Mackie and I were free to run and play☺

Mackie loves to roll in the grass and rip it out.
 Your tongue is grassy, buddy!

One more race around the yard~

I'm pooped!  Time to head in and get a drink and have a nap!
Thanks for the visit, Mackie.   Day 1 wasn't the best and day 2 was a wee bit better!
In all honesty, I like having mom all to myself.   Am I selfish - YES!   Don't hurry back☺

Mom wants to thank all of you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes!  We started our day with a nice long walk and for dindin, she had soft shell crab and a few fries and she shared with me☺

Flower Friday

We are joining the DB Boyz for Flower Friday!

Off we go to find pretty flowers~

These beautiful hydrangea flowers were at an insurance company on Whitney Avenue.   It was early and mom decided it would be okay if we walked up their short driveway and took a quickie picture.   She told me to be very quiet and especially good.  She looked down 5 seconds later and I was rolling around on their driveway making a spectacle of myself.   Something smelled REALLY yummy and I wanted to take the scent home with me☺  So much for being good.  oops!
We also found a pink day lily~
And a melonish colored day lily~
 And some shasta daisies☺
 And spiderwort flowers.
Look who else we found.   He's stylin'!
Happy Friday, everybuddy☺
