Peanut Butter Stuffed Bones

Mom bought us peanut butter stuffed bones to enjoy at Crumpie's.
I'm taking mine upstairs so Molly doesn't try to steal it!
 You stay downstairs, Molly!
After about an hour, I came back down and decided to enjoy my stuffed bone next to Molly.  It worked for a short while.
Stop looking at MY bone lovingly, Molly!

The painters finished painting the ceiling upstairs at Crumpie's
That hole in the ceiling is the cupola.
And this is looking up inside the cupola from the floor below.    It's very tall!

The roof on the cupola that dad and mom are working on is almost all done - just a few more capper shingles and making the copper topper!

So until next time..........

My New Easter Bonnet

Mom made me an Easter bonnet~~
Molly thinks it looks better on her head than it looks on mine.
I do not agree!

Dog Days of Summer Memories

We got a box in the mail last Thursday!
It was from Terry at Black Heath Farms!

Mom had seen photos previously and fallen instantly in love and last week, mom wrote to Terry and asked her if "Maxx" was still available.  He was!

This is the lid of the memory box.

And this is the lid and the bottom together!
These pictures don't do this work of art justice at all! There is so much detail! It's absolutely fabulous and mom feels like the luckiest person in the world to own it!

The memory box was inspired by Terry's dog, Maxx.  One Spring day many years ago, while Maxx slept on the lawn, a butterfly landed on the petal of a flower behind him.  When Terry photographed the scene, it appeared that the butterfly was resting on Maxx's ear!
This beautiful memory was born, and is now recreated.
Mom is in love!
And once again, Molly gets to wear the tissue paper!
 It is absolutely beautiful, Terry!
We are just thrilled to be the proud new owners of Dog Days of Summer Memories~~
Thank you so very, very much!
Terry, we promise to give Maxx a pat when he's been a very good boy!

Spring?

This is how our back yard looked this morning and the first day of spring will arrive tomorrow.  Naturally, we are thrilled to see the snow but mom and dad aren't!
We spent the day at Crumpie's working on the cupola project.   It's coming along nicely with its coat of fresh white paint!
This is the roof portion.  It's up on its side so that the "overhang" could be primed and painted.
We had company come today and they helped dad lower the cupola roof to the floor so that the roof boards and shingles can be applied.  This might not look heavy but trust me - it is!
The guys were talking "shop" and Jeff had Molly's ball in his hand and he forgot all about tossing it to her.  She was being ignored and she was NOT happy!   oops! haha
We love our days at Crumpie's.   We get to run and play inside as much as we want to!
Mom bought us each a stuffed bone and this one has some of the peanut butter stuffing still inside.  Of course, we both want it!
This is the scene out Crumpie's door~
It sure doesn't look much like spring!
So until next time.........

Frost Paws Winners and My Gotcha Day

We were lucky winners in Corbin and Sophie's Frosty Paws give-away and a box arrived in the mail this past Thursday.
How cute is this card of Corbin and Sophie and their Frosty Paws friend!
Mom thinks our little frosty friend is just adorable and she's being very stingy and has decided not to share him with us.  Can you even believe it!
That's okay, mom, because we get to enjoy the best part of this prize - the Frosty Paws!

Today is my 6th Gotcha Day and mom has promised me that she will head out and put that coupon to good use and Molly and I will be enjoying Frosty Paws for my very special day!
Thank you so very much, Corbin and Sophie!  And Molly says thank you for the extra slobber, Corbin!  You guys are the bestest!

So until next time............

Our Newest Book and Doug

Our newest blog book has arrived.  We love our blog books and we order one every year.  It's our adventures with lots of pictures.

This one is Molly and me on the cover.
And me and baby Molly and Maggie with her angel wings on the back cover.
 Life goes on~~~

We lost a very dear friend on Monday.  Doug was one of our Northford Timber Framer brothers and he was one of the nicest and friendliest and most complimentary and generous friends that we have ever known.
RIP, Doug.  We will miss you for a very long time.

 So until next time............

Fluffy Snow

We have had snow hanging around for awhile now but today we got new snow - the fluffy, cold, wonderful stuff that's fun to play in!

 Smackdown!

Our Witch Hazel had so much heavy wet snow on it that the branches were almost touching the ground~
This is our younger red Witch Hazel.
Our magnolia has been damaged by storms so many times and mom keeps on pruning it and hoping that it will grow more sturdy.   This heavy wet snow is sure tough on the smaller trees and bushes!
Enough about the witch hazels and the magnolia. Let's play, mom!
Thank you, snowGods, for the fresh fluffy cold white snow!  We are loving it!

So until next time............

Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
